CEO
Peter Zieve founded Electroimpact in July 1986 after receiving a Ph.D. degree from the University
of Washington in Mechanical Engineering. The initial task was to commercialize the
Low Voltage Electromagnetic Riveting technology that he invented in Doctoral Research.
Dr. Zieve envisioned the company as a haven for engineers. His vision for the
"engineer's company" relied upon engineer pride of achievement as being the driving
force toward technical and commercial success. At Electroimpact an engineer is involved in the full
scope of a project from inception, negotiations all the way through warranty and spare
parts provisioning. This business model has allowed the company to provide a broad range
of equipment and services in the field of aircraft and satellite manufacture.
